I personally don't have them or use them (although I've experimented with them on the range), but I can see the merit of having them. I also don't have any lights or anything of that nature on my guns either.....

I have the LaserMax for my G36.

It's OK. Pretty accurate at about 10-20 yards.

It's basically just cool factor for me. :devil:

I hadn't had mine a month before the batteries needed changing and I hardly use it. (Though the GF does.) We'll see how long a fresh set lasts.

There's tons of threads over on GlockTalk about them and the Crimson Trace things.

I also thought about getting the Lasermax for my G22. But I really dont see the point! I guess it would be ok for helping with sighting in, but other than that, useless IMHO!
