AR Accessory Rails

Recommended Posts

I have a friend that has an full size Armalite Ar-15 (M15). He is looking for an accessory rail to mount a bipod so it doesn't have to be 4 sided. Any recommendations for good price without sacrificing quality? I think he'd be willing to get a 4 sided if the price was right.

If he's looking to free float the hand guard, looking into Samson Mfg. EVOLUTION rails. I bought one recently and my 'smith commented on how it was better than DD's design at half the price. Otherwise, the opinions above are great.

Thanks for the help guys! My friend went with mikegideon's post. I am interested myself. He did say they get a little warmer than the stock ones, though. I think he said that he needed something to help get the bipod a little closer to the gun. I have to see what he's talking about and then come back here with some pics if he hasn't solved the problem yet. Basically put, he loves them and would recommend them.
