Hello from Ten Mile

Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum and my name's Glenn. Jo (wife), Allie (dog) and I live about half way between Knoxville and Chattanooga in a little place known as Ten Mile. It's far enough out in the sticks that you can't buy fast food and get home before it's cold, but we like it here anyway. I retired in '05 and have spent most of my time on the boat (summertime), working in the yard (bout got it all done now), or working on my hot rod (never-ending project).

I carried a duty weapon to, at, and from work, I've had a carry permit, as does Jo, since they started and we both occasionally carried when we thought it necessary. I guess I've either watched too much news, or I'm getting too old and becoming a pessimist but it seems like those "necessary" times have become "always" now. I'm considering getting a couple of new pistols and, from my hot rod experience, feel that a good forum can be an excellent source for a lot of valuable information. I've been lurking here for a while, liked what I saw, and thought I'd join the forum.
