Pro-gun, pro-business GOP stance leads to difficult position with latest gun bill

This could be posted in a couple three different forums, if the moderators want to move it, so be it.

This seems like a more reasonable story than the Tennessean is capable of.

However, the comments after the story don't seem to have any gun-owners or HCP holders chiming in. Seems like an opportunity to get out a pro-gun point of view in the City Paper story's comment section.

I used to comment on stories like these, but realized that people who post this type short-sighted commentary don't care what anyone has to say anyhow. That goes for most online venues, this forum included. People make up their mind and refuse to even remotely consider any viewpoint or information that runs counter to their beliefs. If you post data they don't agree with, the data is skewed, the source is biased, or it's just meaningless statistics. If you post data they agree with, they talk about it as if it's gospel and chastise any naysayers as dumb and incapable of understanding "facts" or "science." It's not worth the hassle.

It seems relatively simple to me. If they can forbid you from having a firearm in your locked car, then they can forbid you from having a Bible in it, or political literature, or even from listening to talk radio once you drive onto their property. Where does it end? They are ignoring the fact that your car is YOUR property. As long as it stays in your car, what business is it of theirs?
