I would like to find out if anyone know the value of an Arisaka barrelled reciever is,or where i might find a buyer for this .Also it still has the chrysanthemum intact.Any info would be greatly appreciated.

well..I was talking to a fella who was knowledgeable about firearms...and asked him about that.

does it have an aresenal mark on it?say...two circles inside another largert circle?

From what I understand there were a couple of major arsenals in Japan at the time, the Kohura arsenal and the Tokyo arsenal...the tokyo arsenal would be the only stamp that I would recognize. (you got me interested in the history of this rifle.)

I understand now why you spoke of the crysanthimum.

Those were ground off of the weapons captured by the United States....the one you have was most likely a battlefield war prize taken by a soldier...that makes it alot more valueable.

I will continue to ask questions to some fellas that I know and I'll see what sort of price range you could be looking at...heck, I want to know for myself!!!

You may want to find some new furniture for it though. It'll be worth less as a collectors item than if it had the original stock..but it'll be a rifle again!
