which crossbow to buy

Recommended Posts

I have the Barnett C5 and quad 400. I only shoot the quad now. It hits harder and shoots the longer 22" bolts. I am taking the easy way out. I just don't have the time to practice all summer. I can let the quad out a few weeks before the season starts and it's still dead on from last year. Invest in a good range finder and practice from a stand at home if possible too.

There are a few sub-$400 Crossbows at BassPro.

I've wanted one just because I think it would be fun to shoot!

I'm hunting with a Recurve Bow this year and practice EVERY day.

It's fun for me.  Worried that if I had a Crossbow, I might have a hard time deciding what to take out :)

I bought a crossbow last year just for something different. It worked, I love it. I think a crossbow is just as difficult as bow hunting. Especially if you have to deal with weilding the dang thing in a stand. But it's hella fun. I have a Wicked Ridge Invader. It shoots pretty dang good. But i had a hard time deciding when I bought it. There's several out there that are good. And there's much to be said about Excaliber recurve style.

I bought mine from wyverncreations.com. He usually has good prices.
