Hey guys looking for someone to possibly point me in the right direction here....looking for an outdoor range where 200+ yard shots can be made. Ive heard of a few rifle or gun clubs in my area but was hoping there may be another option? I am in between knoxville and chattanooga

I am not completely against joing a club but it just seems like a hassle.

Thanks

Unless there are some unofficial ranges out there, you will more than likely need to join a club. ORSA in Oak Ridge has a 1000 yard range with firing lines at 200, 400, 600 and 1000. The Chattanooga Rifle Club has a 500 yard range with firing line set up at 200 and 300 yards. I think the club fee at ORSA is around $120+ and I think you need to be a member of the NRA. These ranges also may only be open to match shooting as well. So you might want to check about practice time availability before you join one of them.

Yes the fee at ORSA is $120 but the only reason you'd need to be a member of the NRA is if you can't get a sponsorship from a current member. Even then , after your first year of membership, they like for you to have a sponsor. But I know a ton of members that would gladly sponor you as long as you're not a total goober. :)
