New indoor range open, Jackson, TN...

Recommended Posts

We went and tried out the new indoor range today at The "Great Outdoor Store in Jackson. It is set up pretty nicely, and seems they are trying to keep it safe. Yall go by there when you get the chance.

They also have a techno hunt for bows if you need that kind of practice.

LA 367sig added this to the range database here:

I got a tour of the range yesterday while looking for a carry holster. Very nice range. They had 15 booths for handgun, 2 booths for bow and one for Techno bow.(very cool). Several different handguns for rent. Locker room and an almost finished class room for HCP and other classes they are gonna teach. Didn't think to ask size or about restrictions. I had a booklet they hand out but little wife grabbed it up before I had a chance to read for one of her gun nut girlfriends. Seemed like a bunch of very nice guys running the place and friendly. They said were going to have a grand opening in the next week or two. If I get more info I will pass along because I will be going back.

The range has a max distance of 25yds, and you can shoot almost any caliber you have. They told me it was built to even be able to withstand a 50 cal round, but I don't know if they would let you shoot a 50 cal or not, (doubt it), we just shot our 40, 9mm and .22 handguns, they did caution us on head shots, they did not say they were not allowed, just to be careful of your trajectory so you don't damge the baffles or track system. The system for moving the target was nice with a digital readout on the control panel. If you live fairly close by it is worth a try.

It was $15 and hour for a single lane or you can share one for $20 and hour.

I just hope they can run it better then they do the store, I have been trying to keep up with when it opens so I can check it out and see how long I can stand to be ignored while I try to spend my money.

We use that range. It's in a great location and it's climate controlled, baby! With the cold and coming hot temps in West TN, it's a wonderful resource. I'd recommend it. I'm not affiliated with the store or the range, just a fan of it.
