I have no idea what to think about this new FEMA youth Army.

I warned about this before the first election, I think. He said he wanted this before he said he said he was going to
"fundamentally transform" this country, which was also what he said the day before the first election.

Slow tyranny is the kind you don't actually see until you open your damned eyes and start looking. And, if this is so tinfoil,
why the Hell do you think people have bought so many guns in the last four years?

This isn't a left vs. right issue. The USA Freedom Corps was a White House office and fifth policy council (together with Domestic, Economic, National Security and Homeland Security) within the Executive Office of the President of the United States under George W. Bush, who as President served as its chair. President George W. Bush created USA Freedom Corps (USAFC) to "build on the countless acts of service, sacrifice, and generosity that followed September 11". When he announced USAFC in his 2002 State of the Union address, he called on all Americans to serve a cause greater than themselves.

In a commentary on the right-wing website NewsMax.com, Miguel A. Faria Jr. attacked the program as statist and collectivist, a "bureaucratic boondoggle" that might evolve into "compulsory service," and the name "USA Freedom Corps" as an instance of Orwellian Newspeak. Meanwhile, in a piece on the left-wing magazine American Prospect's site, Jeremy Lott critically linked the announcement of the Corps' creation to the controversial Operation TIPS, a program encouraging citizens to report 'suspicious activity'.

http://www.policevol....org/about/ Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) is one of five Citizen Corps partner programs.

It scares me more what people will blindly accept (and defend) just as long as it's coming from "THEIR PARTY" afiliation.. - Not a dig at 6.8 AR RE: this topic - I mean in a general political sense.

EDIT: I can't fix the bottom link but it is policevolunteers.org --> about. Edited by Fingersoup

I never said it was a left vs right issue, did I? Statist and collectivist problems persist in both of the parties. I
think I have stated that earlier.

I said I thought all of those pictures were embellishments, to those who didn't pay attention. I also pointed out
only the tyranny for the possible outcome. If you wish to make this into conspiracy theory, fine. I pointed out,
with help, that this is part of an open agenda on the record. Make of that what you wish, but try to remember
your history before you go and label it as trash.

The "Hitler" reference I used is obvious if you go back to pre-WWII Nazi Germany and recall how he rose to power.
There are very strong similarities there and it doesn't take any leap at all to see facism rising. I've tried to show it
for what it is and if you wish to call tyranny a conspiracy tinfoil theory, okay.

Yeh, some of this sounds hokey as Hell, but remember what happened in maybe different circumstances to the
Jews in Germany. Think about Iran in WWII. Pol Pot. The millions in China who were killed. The millions Stalin
killed. The trend we're heading toward is roughly the same kind of outcome. What was it Khruschev said? Something
like "we will take you over from within". We are blindly allowing it. Our economy will probably be the precursor to the
fall and things could get real bad fast, with martial law stepping in to control us and I can see there will be some who
will actually embrace that idea as something needed due to the times.

Cause and effect. Some of you don't have a clue how dangerous several of our politicians actually are, on both sides
of the aisle.

There certainly is a lot of "crazy crapola" out there, but history is repeating itself without very many realizing it. I don't
see that "third term" stuff as very plausible, just don't know how that would be allowed, but if there is a crash, maybe.
The way our constitution has been shredded, recently, you never know. what would our country look like after an
economic crash? Ever been there? I haven't. That problem in 2008 was probably a precursor to something right around
the corner we don't want to think about.
Well said. History does repeat itself and is repeating itself. If all the people just understood this and even read history, maybe we could have a better understanding of current events and the consequences of these current events. And maybe we could all do something to help prevent the evil history events from repeating.

This is the symbol we gestured to the opposing team in high school to suggest they were p***ies. So, we were Hitler Youth all along? Damn. Looks like I have to stop making all those master race holocaust jokes about my German wife.

There are a finite amount of hand gestures, so one form could have several meanings.  You anti-"tinfoil" guys are going to be the downfall of yourselves and a lot of people by constantly discounting everything that anyone points out as being something to possibly be concerned about.  Why are you guys so accepting of everything as "harmless"?  When does something cross the line with you guys or start to concern you?  Maybe we all should check with you guys before posting anything to make sure that it's not too crazy.  People are not crying wolf or saying that xyz is absolutely positively verifiably true, but many posts on here pointing out a possible relationship to past history which may be cause for concern are so easily dismissed by many of you as being "tin foil", that when some of it turns out to be true...well...you and others will be caught by surprise.

Just thought I'd mention something. The feds don't need a youth DHS army to take over the country considering there are already thousands of federal LEOs and military members who have access to all sorts of fantastic weapons and vehicles. Does FEMA have some magical power to brainwash young minds that exceeds the ability of the US military to brainwash 18-21 year olds? This is nothing more than conspiratorial hogwash.

Yes, DHS bought a bunch of ammo. So what? DHS includes many more agencies than FEMA. Immigration and Customs and the Border Patrol, the US Secret Service, the US Coast Guard, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers, and the Federal Air Marshals are all under DHS and obviously need guns and ammunition for their duties and training.

Also, let me address this silly Obama Youth Brigade hand gesture thing. I have studied World War II history as an armchair historian, and genocide as an academic endeavor. Never have I seen any photo of the Hitler Youth using the hand gesture shown in the picture associated with Obama. Never. In fact, the only picture I have seen is the close-up of the hands used as a comparison. However, I can find plenty of pictures of Hitler Youth using the standard Nazi salute (which was also used by American school children to salute the American flag when the Pledge of Allegiance was introduced to American society by Francis Bellamy, a socialist).

So what we have here is the absence of a single photo or propaganda poster that displays this alleged hand gesture. None. Please feel free to do your own research and try to prove me wrong, but I think you'll be hard pressed to find any photo or propaganda poster that shows this alleged hand gesture.

The photo showing this alleged Hitler Youth hand gesture did appear in the Heinrich Hoffman books and and was credited as being a photo of Hitler's own hands during a speech.  It can be seen about 3/4 down the page on this website that shows photos of the books' contents:

<a href="http://www.germaniainternational.com/hitler23.html">http://www.germaniainternational.com/hitler23.html</a>

Regardless, the comparison between this and the Obama "sign of progress" thing where the hands are supposed to make a letter O for his last name, is simply a fabrication of the conspiratorial right-wing blogosphere. It wouldn't surprise me if Glenn Beck or Alex Jones came up with it single handedly to create this very effect.

In other news, do know that the Obama administration is currently training members of the Civil Air Patrol to fly black helicopters. They are starting them young too. This website shows them being trained to do tactical repelling into your home in the event of a government takeover. Video proof!

Also, I have just found photographic evidence to prove that Ronald Reagan was actually a communist and admirer of Muammar Gaddafi:

The "youth" of today are being brainwashed by: The left wing media and their anti-gun bias, hollywood and their anti-gun bias and finally the govt run youth indoctrination "public schools". Our public school system is based on the Prussian model from the late 1800's. The children in public schools are being raised by the govt. bureaucrat, foster program not their parents. They are taught to "rat" on parents if they smoke dope or own a firearm. They are encouraged to "rat" on each other. The public shools herd the youth around by bells and make them follow the pack. Don't question authority and no independent thought. Conform to the pack, spoon feed the children the history the state wants them to know. The Pavlovian youth of today worship at the alter of the cellphone and the ipad. The "youth" are being lobotomized into mindless sheep that do as they are told and couldn't tell you the meaning of the Bill of Rights. The obama generation no longer says the pledge of allegiance nor are they taught to handwrite in cursive. They are taught that the rich are evil. They are taught that amerika was founded by white racist, non-conformist, slave owning pigs. They are taught that amerika was stolen from the "native americans" and they should feel guilty. They are taught that they are entitled to a job. They are taught that their "God" is govt. The youth are being emasculated and dummied down by the socialist, big govt, statist toads in the dc swamp.

These two just popped out as completely ridiculous but your post is "unique" to say the least. Schools I know still have the pledge of allegiance and who the hell writes in cursive?

Do you always print when you write? If so, strange indeed. When I went to school, shortly after the invention of fire, printing was taught from kindergarten to second grade, and cursive from then on. Cursive writing is faster and less fatiguing than printing. I developed sufficient skill to write equally illegibly in both block characters AND cursive. :) Seriously, in a class that requires long-winded test answers, people expect to write in long-hand, block characters, a ten page impromptu essay? It would be painfully slow and in addition literally painful after the hand and wrist starts cramping up toward the end.

So which conservative manufesto did you get all that from? As a current college student, I spend quite a lot of time around youths and young adults, and can definitively say most of what you've just spewed is conservative rhetoric garbage. Brainwashed? Look in the mirror. :)

All I can say to that Spock, and glad to see you back, is that movie kids watch in elementary school called "The

Story of Stuff". There are many other examples of how our kids are being taught the wrong stuff, but I am going

to be lazy. But you can start with Jefferson and some slave and move forward. :D

Many of us have come to these conclusions based on life experience and remembering what happens in elections, politics and societal settings going back beyond 10 years.  Most people have very short memories.  These things did not come from any manifesto, nor are they rhetoric.  They are very real problems and are only the tip of the iceberg of liberal subliminal mind conditioning.  Many schools have dummed people down, taught them what to think, not how to think, and gradually changed society for the worse.  There are few that have not, but those are the exception, not the norm.  Values have decreased.  Morals and ethics have decreased all across society.  The battle is in people's minds, and the left is winning by any means possible.

The Prussian-Industrial Model

THE ROOTS OF MODERN PUBLIC SCHOOLING

Horace Mann, credited as the father of the American public school system, studied a wide variety of educational models before implementing the Prussian system designed by Fredrick the Great. King Frederick created a system that was engineered to teach obedience and solidify his control. Focusing on following directions, basic skills, and conformity, he sought to indoctrinate the nation from an early age. Isolating students in rows and teachers in individual classrooms fashioned a strict hierarchy—intentionally fostering fear and loneliness.

Mann chose the Prussian model, with its depersonalized learning and strict hierarchy of power, because it was the cheapest and easiest way to teach literacy on a large scale.

This system was perpetuated throughout the early twentieth century by social efficiency theorists who sought to industrialize the educational process. Led by educators such as Ellwood P. Cubberley, they used education as a tool for social engineering:

“Our schools are, in a sense, factories in which the raw products (children) are to be shaped and fashioned into products to meet the various demands of life.” (Cubberley, 1917)

Building upon the depersonalized uniformity and rigid hierarchy of the Prussian system, they constructed an industrial schooling model designed to produce millions of workers for Americaʼs factories.

Believing that most of America’s students were destined for a life of menial, industrial labor, these theorists created a multi-track educational system meant to sort students from an early age. While the best and brightest were carefully groomed for leadership positions, the majority was relegated to a monotonous education of rote learning and task completion.

Consequently, our schooling system is still locked into the Prussian-industrial framework of fear, isolation, and monotony. For both students and teachers, procedure is emphasized over innovation, uniformity over individual expression, and control over empowerment. It is, therefore, not surprising that the majority of Americaʼs classrooms have changed little in over one hundred years.

Rhetoric? I think not.
