AR Newb Might Need Help

Not at all new to firearms.  Just new to the AR scene.  I am thinking about ordering a standard JT 16" kit and buying the lower (hopefully locally.)  Anybody around Knoxville that might have the tools and the know-how to help me put it together?  This seems like it may be the only way to get one before all hell breaks loose and I would feel better knowing I got one now even thought it may not be assembled immediately.  Is this something that could be done in one night?  Few beers, cash?  Not sure how much of someone's time I would be taking up by doing this little project.  Thanks guys.

It depends on the parts, but 1-2 hours for a full build is pretty easy on an ar15. I'd be happy to help you just for the fun of putting together another AR. I have most of the tools you might need, but some parts require something out of the norm - so it just depends.

I would check to see if you can find a stripped lower somewhere before bothering buying the rest of the parts if that is your plan, as it will be one of the hardest items to find right now. Luckily I have a stripped lower sitting around for a rainy day that I got a couple of months ago, and no it isn't for sale. ;)
