Your close to a great spot to see them.  Go east about 15 miles, look for a big bldg on the Tennessee River.  There will be 10 of em running around an all wood floor and more around the edges watching.

Would you like to know the total number of Bigfoot sightings in Tennessee?.... 84(reported)

How many large cats are seen in Tennessee?.... almost 1,000 per year are reported.

Percent said to be black?.... almost half.

Can you see a Bigfoot at any zoo in the World?.... No

Can you see a large black cat at any zoo in the World?.... Most major zoos worldwide.

Large cats native to the USA.... Western Cougar, Eastern Cougar, Florida Panther, Jaguar.

Any species known to be "professionally documented" melanistic? Western Cougar, Eastern Cougar, and Florida Panther are not.

Jaguar percentage known to be melanistic range from 6% to 40% depending on location.

Any documented cougar in the eastern part of the USA?

A mountain lion killed on a Connecticut highway in June, 2011 was a wild animal from South Dakota that prowled almost 2,000 miles eastward before meeting his death 70 miles from New York City, genetic tests confirmed.

Nearest known Jaguar from Tennessee? Less than 2,000 miles.

Confirmed in south Texas.

Aug 21, 2012 – Protected Territory Established(USFWS) for Jaguars in Arizona and New Mexico, total 838,000 acres.

Any possibility, or chance of a black jaguar ever being seen in Tennessee? Undecided.

Here in Erwin we have what's known as the "Hairy Man" who seems to have made his homestead near the North Carolina line. Part of the Appy trail is over that way as well. Pretty sure it's just random naked hikers running through the woods, but hell who knows.

I have heard about the "hairy man" but this is also coming out of the town that hung Mary.

That tale is often mistaken for blatant violence on the part of our townspeople. See what really happened was around that time a sensation known as "salt cured meat" was sweeping the eastern seaboard. So we thought what the hell, why not elephant! My great great uncle Jojo used always talk about how tough that burger was :)
