5ebutyny.jpgthe . Today is his first birthday and he weighs in at an even 110 lbs. He was named Lakeview's Axel vom Dawson. Big ole baby. The other dog in the picture is Ka-bar the rescue we adopted about 2 years ago. He's the brains of the outfit. Edited by Deerbnb

We got a new puppy recently. We've almost had him a month now. I suppose he's 12 weeks old, we got him at 6 weeks because the mother stopped nursing. We're 99% sure he's a Belgian Malinois mix. Google it if you're not familiar with the breed.

He seems very intelligent. He hasn't had an accident in the house in over a week. I think having an older dog in the house is helping him learn. He's already learned "sit" too.

Having a 2nd dog has helped the Husky. They entertain each other all day.

Here's Gunner,

My sable Maine Coon attack cat-- Freyja. 13.5 lbs. of the sweetest furball you will ever find. She's a firearms enthusiast too--notice the front right paw already cocked & locked in "Condition One"..

That looks almost exactly like a stray my parents took in. She (my parents cat) is a real survivor and a great hunter, I can tell you that. :)

Here is Bandit, I guess she is four months old now?

Got her from here on the board. She is dangerous smart. You can see the remains of a cow hoof in pieces on the carpet. I think it lasted an hour. A record to be honest.

Absolutely beautiful!  My wife wants to meet your horse. She had several when younger, and misses them terribly.

I'll bring this thread back to life...

In the midst of this madness, we brought this guy home Easter weekend. A friend of my wife's dogs unexpectedly had 13 puppies and it was time for our boys to have another dog.

He's a black lab, Black Russian terrier mix, we named him Shadow.  He leads a hard life around here....

Potty training is still very much a work in process at this point, some apparent tummy issues aren't helping.  Otherwise he's very good natured and is learning the basics reasonably well. Our cat (the turd) is unconvinced, which suits me fine. :)

I had two Malamutes years ago when my girls were growing up. Great dogs and NOBODY got near my girls when they were around.
