NewsChannel5 Investigates Barret?

It can destroy an aircraft from over a mile away."

I love how the media will reference something from a movie as if it is true. Hollywood used a .50 Barrett in the SWAT movie a few years back. In reality, just about anything can bring down an aircraft if it damages the engine. A .303 bolt action Enfield brought down a AH-64 Apache helicopter in Iraq. Better add that hundred year old rifle to the ban list.

As a fan of the venerable .303 Brit , I find this heartening. I have always thought this was a tough little gun.

Jeebus has the media nothing else to report on? How about crushing debt, no jobs, Obozo's leftist socialist policys, the cost of Obozo care, worthless unions and politicians and so on. Oh wait.....nobody cares about that...just destroying the Constitution and everything it stands for. Assholes....

You mean some of you watch News Channel 5? Haven't wasted my time on them in years, but then I wonder why I still pay

Charter. The TV hasn't been on since the election except once to check that it still worked after the remodeling in the house.

I haven't paid for TV since 2006 and won't it always makes me mad to watch the news now.

The .303 Lee-Enfield was adopted by Great Britain in 1895.  The Lee-pattern bolt-action system was designed by an American.  Enfield gave it's name because of the pattern of rifling used.

So, it's now a 118 year-old type of rifle.  And it has a 10rd magazine, so it's an 'assault rifle' in NY!  Capable of shooting down Apache attack helicopters!  Who needs an AR-15?  Get an old SMLE!

Just going to be a waste of time with some liberal reporter saying civilians shouldn't own a fifty.

Terrorists used airplanes to kill 3000 people. Pretty soon libs won't want 'civilians' to own airplanes. I guess we haven't had any more terrorist attacks because we've outlawed nail clippers on planes, so libs MUST think that they are on to something.

My wife and I are almost there.  We are actually tonight going to experiment with an old antenna that I have.  If it picks up the digital stations okay, we are out of dish.  We have one of those converter boxes from a couple of years ago in the closet just in case our flat panel is not ready.  I too don't watch or try to avoid the national news anymore.  I do drink the Foxnews koolaide website, and I do read some foreign media sources on the U.S., just to see a different view.
