It's just a belt fed upper. No different ATF-wise than any other upper receiver.

People waited years, like almost ten years, having already paid Ares for the belt fed upper before they finally shipped. But of the people who have finally gotten them, they seem to run pretty good.

I almost got in on that train ride back in 03.  Glad I passed.  I heard that rather than delivering them to those who had long ago paid for them in advance, they were selling them to new buyers.  That would have really torqued me.

please enlighten me but for $3300 why not just use a beta mag or a surefire 100rd mag?  I mean hell for $3300 you can almost buy a bone stock m11 smg lol.

Let me give you a better link http://dealernfa.com/accessories/?show=gallery, the PSA link is a bare bones model.

Sorry not a fan of the beta or the korean copycat beta mags btw the graphite lube to make them run was shear genius, heard to many complaints about surefire mags jamming.

Plus FA belt-feds are just 100x cooler

The biggest problem so far has been that they used aluminum feed trays when the belt links are steel.  Impacting steel against aluminum means the aluminum will wear pretty quickly.  Aside from that, they seem to actually work pretty well.

There was one at the Black Dog Range MG shoot last Spring.  I don't remember who had it.

Wow I wonder who made that dumb decision, but hey what do you really expect for $3,000+?

Well I bought it, now waiting on the nut sacks to arrive, I'll break it in this weekend on magazines before going to belts.
Carry handle has to go, need a smaller one.

Can you zoom out a bit and let us see that h1? And a video the first time you rock a belt on your M16 lower. I just want to see the grin.

Here you go pg 3 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/56200-tgo-ride/, when I was little I liked to play army, I guess it carried over to adult life.

I've seen so many videos and forum write up's about this upper burning through ammo very quickly (750-1000 ROF), I've never mag dumped anything past 30 rounds so 100-180 will defiantly be different, I'll probably limit it to 500 rounds per outing.

Does your buddy have a 12.5" barrel?

How does your buddy's run?

I took mine out yesterday ran 10-30 round mags SA through it to break it in, started on 10round belts and I could never get the second round to load, did everything word for word per the owners manual, I'm waiting for a call back from ares to diagnose the problem..
