When will the madness end, all I want is a cheap old rifle. A year ago I bought a sporterized GEW 98k for 75 bucks and a mosin for 100 bucks, I gave one to a friend, and sold the mosin for 125.....now im wishing I had of kept them.

Last place I saw some in stock was SOG but now that I've double checked it says to "call for availability".

They do have a Chinese Type 53 Carbine for 99 bucks. Not very familiar with the company as I just got my C&R license and set it up with them. I would assume they'd allow you to purchase and ship to an FFL if you don't have a C&R.

*Note I could be very wrong with my ASSuming. They can provide you with info or someone here can who has dealt with the company. They may only allow people with a license to deal through them.

Southern Ohio Gun (SOG) is a very reputable company. They have my C&R on file, and I dealt with them many years ago when I had an FFL.

But even what we've all considered as cheap rifles...$100.00 or so...seem to be very much in demand as well and bringing "high dollar" prices. For example most SKS's are running $300.00 plus.

There are still bargains out there, but they move fast.

... $800.00 per case 9mm and $250.00 boxes of .22 LR...I don't see how this is sustainable...but I try not to underestimate the stupidity of the general public. After-all, Obama was re-elected...

Haha yeah I remember when an SKS was 50 bucks......I guess mosins are going to be the next sks. I know I should have bought a creat of 10 for a grand when I had the chance haha

Im not real sure how he was elected.......oh wait I remember now they let 18 year old KIDS vote who thought it would be hip to have a black president, and didn't really care that he was going to make the united states a very difficult place to live and work for my kids..............anyway back to the 100 dollar rifles Edited by knoxrocks222

Just watch http://www.aimsurplus.com/ they get them in and they go.  But I have been seeing them get Mosin's

Or just check some pawn shops.

I was at my LGS and a gun was asking if he could get a mosin and really didn't seem to have an idea how much one should cost.

He said he has about 300 to spend and the owner said I can get you a mosin for that, or I can get you one out the door for about 150ish.

Mosins can tell be had reasonable but you may have to shop just a bit.

You're going to have to quit this living in the past. It'll make you age prematurely.

I kept my 25 dollar Mauser. You mean it's worth a grand? :D Well, it does shoot like it's worth it.
