Reloading .38 special with 140gr XTP

I found a box of Hornady XTP 38cal 140 grain bullets today and thought I'd try loading up some of this .38 special brass that I've got primed. Using Unique powder, I cannot find any load data for this combo... My Unique chart lists 148gr, but not 140gr. Everything else that I've found online is for loading these in .357mag, which is not my intention.

 

Anyone care to help a poor fella?

I found a 140 gr.  38 special +P load using unique at 5.0gr.muzzle vel. 902 and 5.3 gr at mv 960. this is for a 140 gr. jhp sect density of 157  COL -1.435" This is a speer bullet with a cci primer. This is a speer book load

Sierra  Book   140gr jhc 38 Special  unique 5.6 gr. vel=850   unique 5.9gr vel=900  unique 6.2gr vel= 950 no pressures givin. COL-1.450"

No load data for the 140gr in my  Hornady  book

Do you think that 140gr TXP with 4.6gr of Unique would be sufficient? I'm not looking for +p. I may just wait and buy some FMJ at the gun show next week... Probably 110gr.

Looking in th 8th edition of the Hornady manual, it lists  for 38 special as follows: 140gr XTP (#35740) Unique 4.2gr/750 fps,

4.7 gr/800 fps and 5.2gr/850 fps.

all with C.O.L. of 1.450"

49th Edition Lyman Reloading Handbook says for

 

140gr Jacketed Hollow Point:

1.470" OAL

w/Unique:

4.3 starting grains - 537 fps - 11,200 Pressure C.U.P.

5.3 max load grains - 709 fps - 15,900 Pressure C.U.P.
