Comparing the LCP and G26

Recommended Posts

Hi Packin, yep been riding a lot (almost 2000 miles on bike already) and yes I finally did shoot my LCP two days ago. I haven't had time to get back out with it but I bought a box of 50 JHP and to be honest, I had a few FTF's and a couple of jams. I ended up shooting 45 of the 50. In the beginning it was going pretty good until I shot about 30 and then it started acting up. Not sure if it is because it doesn't like JHP's or if the ammo was considered cheap. So if anyone can help me out here I would appreciate it. I used Fiocchi 90 GRS. JHP

Gonna post this in the Handgun section also to get some help.

I have shot the LCP quite a few times and it shoots well for being so small. I personally prefer the Glock 26 or 27 but that is because it fits me much better. I do know that the LCP is very particular on what ammo it can use. For example, It will not chamber Corbon or Winchester Ranger ammunition unless it is sent back to Ruger and re-chambered for it, so just check out the ammunition first... I have found that Speer Gold-Dot works very very well for carry in these firearms.

glockkiddo,

I love the baby glocks too. I have a 27 (and a 23).....I personally like the .40 s&w round better than the 9mm. My second favorite for carry is the .38 snubbies. The ultralites are so comfortable to carry and easy to conceal, with no sacrifice of knock down power, especially with the +p's.

Welcome to the board btw!! I read in another one of your posts that you teach womens shooting classes, that's awesome! We've really been trying to get more women to join our group here......maybe you could help us spread the word about TGO to more women shooters :biglol: This is a great place to learn anything and everything about guns & shooting, 2nd ammendment issues, etc. I must warn you however that it can be addicting and will make you want to buy more guns :biglol::lol:
