New SRP Les Baer

I am pretty excited about the new 1911 I will have in the next couple of months. It will be mine before August 12th
The SRP 5 inch is new in the carboard box, single side tac safety, No front cocking serrations, 1.5 inch grouping, 30lpi mainspring housing ( no longer available from LBC)Plain rear sight, front sight was installed by John Harrison It his Gold Bead, it is coated in Bear Coat (no longer available by LBC) and I ordered Black Gunners grips for it as it will be all blacked out. I had another SRP and it is one of the best 1911 pistols I have ever owned, i foolishly parted with it so i just had to have another one but this one should be really special I am looking forward to it and after I receive it I will do a range report and post pictures. I've overlooked Baer for so long (FBI gun problems, he's kind of a dick, guns tighter than I prefer).

However, lately I've been hearing so many good things that I'm thinking about Baer for my next 4.25" 1911.

 

I hope yours is all you're expecting...I'm excited for you.

Isn't it strange that we almost always seem to regret selling our guns, then try to get the same thing again? Done it myself a few times.

Got a Comanche length from the early 90's. it's my favorite gun ever.

Thinking about it, Les baer pistols are the only 1911 ones I bought back after selling them, I guess that makes them my favorite as I have gone through so many 1911's over the years

He damn sure knows how to build a heck of a gun that Is for sure!

I have a Les Baer "Thunder Ranch Special" with the Baer coat. It is a great shooting pistol. My next premium 1911 will be another Leas Baer in 38 Super, not sure of the model yet.

I have a Les Baer Stinger (4.25" stainless in .45) if you're interested in trying one out. I absolutely love it...I prefer it over the Wilson SDS that I had previously. PM me if you want to give it a go!

Picked her up a couple of hours ago,

I would like to thank D&T Arms for doing such a smooth transfer for me, they have a awesome Gun store and fantastic customer service

The fit and finish on this one is better than my last, not sure but since this one is the 1.5 Guarantee a lot more hours went into this build, I could not be more happy as it is on par with the fit and finish of my Ed Browns which is saying something.

I will take pictures once my camera charges up and I will run a few boxes of my carry ammo through her. If this gun shoots as good as it looks ( I know it will) I will be extremely pleased!




With VZ Gunner Grips installed, this is how she will stay I love these grips!

Will do when I get more ammo,

Just shot 50 rounds of Remington 230 grain Golden Sabre, honestly I think I will cancel my order for the Springfield pro pistols I have in, this pistol is that good where I think the PC9111 will disappoint me and not be worth the added waiting time


This pistol is set up exactly how I want it, I was unsure about the Gold bead Harrison sight and was prepared to send the pistol to Wayne Novak for night sights but I love the Gold Bead

I have to say that out of all of the 1911's I have had in my life this is the best!

Same guy is offering to sell me a Commanche SRP set up just like this one, guy ordered 4 Baer's, 2 Commanche SRP and 2 Government SRP models, sent them to John Harrison for sight work, he carries two and had mine and the Commanche as back ups left new in the box. I am so impressed with my new SRP that I may have to do this
