My cuz talks a little better of the Infinitis but still don't like much anything else Nissan related, powertrain wise, that is. I think everything I've ever owned had some kinda electrical glitch, at one time or another. The Trailblazer quite often forgets the memory settings for the seats and mirrors and, once, forgot to engage the front transaxle with the rear and set there like I had just the front brakes on, yet the rear was tryin' to go somewhere. Every once in a while, the info center lights will not come on. I hafta turn the ignition off and restart for it to act right. Several of my Fords had funky crap like that, too, 'cept the ol' 79 truck. I'm sad, again, now. Shoulda never sold it. Just keep fixin' it and hung onto it. Always wanted to put a 348 in'r but I probably couldn't have kept her thirst quinched, these days.

I'm not sure why your cuz doesn't like the powertrains...getting 350+ HP our of a 3.7 litre is pretty good; an engine that's been voted one of the "10 best" for about a dozen years now and that aside, the only difference between a 3.7 or 4.5 or a 5.7 liter engine in a Nissan vs an Infiniti is very minor tweaking (exhaust tuning, etc.). I'm not saying they are all fantastic engines but one of the things Nissan/Infiniti is known for is the power of its engines vs size; especially normally aspirated.

You also can't beat the synchro-rev match available in the Zs or the  7 speed auto also available in many models...I won't claim they are up to "exotic" car standards but they are, I think, at least as good as anything most people can afford to buy. ;)

Enough with the thread jackin' already! Let's get back to gay bashing :)

Homosexuals are, by an large, wonderful people who should be afforded the same rights and responsibilities as any other person.  If they want to marry, shack up, live as single people; I really don't care so long as they don't tell ME how I have to live or require me to "feel" a certain way about them.

The government (federal, state, local) needs to get out of the business of "marriage" and simply treat every person as an individual.

How's that, Mike?  :)

I was curious how the Armada/Titan held up.  Seems mileage wise they do ok.

I'd never buy a new generation of any brand.  Seems they always have issues.  That played a lot into buying a F150 back in March.  I think this is the fourth or fifth year of the current generation and the bugs ought to be worked out.  And I also liked the No Bailout part of the equation.

If I were buying a new pickup today the F150 or maybe a 250 would be the only thing on my list and the reasons you cited are a bit part of that!

A lengthy, reasoned, thoughtful discussion on every aspect of the social, political, ethical & theological ramifications of this topic reduced to a single dismissive sentence ... awesome work there Mike, even Joseph Goebbels would be impressed.

Don't really know why he doesn't like the Nissan engines. They do produce good hp for their size, though they still haven't proven their reliability in racin', yet. Maybe they don't need to, IDK.

I think pickin' the rainbow was the wrong thing to represent gays. Well, maybe not for flamers but it don't work for the gay people I know. Everytime I see it, I think of Skittles. Go figger?

It's also hijacked it from perfectly good other purposes. My FIL had a scene 3 logo front license plate and got accused of supporting the LGB (back in those days) cause. (Can't find a copy of their logo so I may have the name wrong but it was red, green and blue lines arranged in a triangle.

Also the computer of my youth had a rainbow strip across the corner of the keyboard. Would be cool to make a reference to that with a vinyl sticker on the old car. Except It would be interpreted as supporting a cause I have no particular interest in either way.

Like I said. Their right to support them openly. My right to not support theur company, just like its their right to boycott chick fil a and my right to support them. Thats the awesome thing about a free country. I can disagree with you and we can still co-exist by me not choosing or choosing to use your products or patronize your business.

sent from the backwoods

Chik-Fil-A a few months ago had a demonstration in one of their parking lots by the LBGT's, they fed every one of them for free then made the statement that they do not oppose the gay lifestyle or anyone based on their beliefs. A complete turnaround from their President stating "Guilty as charged" that Chik Fil A opposes same sex marriage and the LGBT "lifestyle". This was a march for same sex marriage. The gays felt that was "acceptance" from Chik Fil A. Apparently business and profits trump their beliefs.(In the end, they are a company in it to make money or they wouldnt be in business)

Two  article's, theres lots of articles on this out there "A California Chick-fil-A did something shocking for same-sex marriage supporters this week: Supported them."

NOTE: I am not a homophobe. Homophobic would indicate I have a fear of gays, which I dont. What pizzes me off is the fact they are a tiny minority and yet the majority of Americans (77%) support DOMA, a tiny minority had it changed. Or that things like it is in direct violation to wear the Uniforms of the Military in a manner that shows disrespect to the uniform, the Sergeant Major of the Army just had failure to properly wear the uniform a non Judicial Punishment offence added to AR 670-1, yet a US Marine Corp Sergeant was spotted in a gay porn video wearing his Dress Blue jacket with his name tag and medals, participating in those acts, yet when it was brought up on an Article 32 hearing, the Chain of Command (Under the Pentagons direction) said there was nothing they could do.

Thats the kinda sheet that pizzes me off., The will of the few does not trump the will of the many. Why should 240 million Americans opinions not matter, their votes not matter and their ideas not matter because a couple of million think it shouldnt.

Fienstein used that exact argument in her gun control stance. Except Firearms owners are not the few. Owners make up 1/3rd of the Citizens of this country, that is owners, add in everyone in their households and non firearms owning Constitutional supporters, and we are the majority.

I'm no expert, but I'm thinking this qualifies under Godwin's Law.

AFIK, Chik-fil-a was never on a crusade against gays to begin with. The libtards got all "outraged" because they contributed to charitable groups that have anti-gay positions. A nation wide company that takes an anti-gay position is beyond stupid.

If 77% of Americans support DOMA then what that proves is that we have 77% of Americans who either don't understand the Constitution or are willing to ignore the Constitution when doing so supports their religious beliefs about an issue.

DOMA was a BAD law that was passed under Clinton to garner support from, I guess, those 77% of Americans. The problems is, it's none of the government's business to even be involved; especially when it's government sponsored discrimination.

The Supreme Court was 100% right in striking it down.

The Supreme Court should have never been involved in any Marriage discussion to begin with. It is the job of the SCOTUS to interpret and make Constitutional decisions. The MINORITY brought this to the Supreme Court, the Founders never addressed the issue of Marriage in the Constitution. The leftist argument is always the same. Majority rule, minority rights. The Founders had an entirely different perspective. When minorities can force decisions on the majority, you no longer have representative Government. You have a Government beholden to the few.

The Supreme Court was 100% wrong, for hearing the case to begin with,.

Robert: RE: This

....If 77% of Americans support DOMA then what that proves is that we have 77% of Americans who either don't understand the Constitution  (1)   or are willing to ignore the Constitution when doing so supports their religious beliefs about an issue (2). ....

RE: Item 1.  I think the "real answer" here is that "Americans dont think about the Constitution"; therefore they dont "understand the Constitution"...; especially younger folks.   The support for DOMA wuz exactly what ya said.  It was to curry political favor from a broad sector of citizens; that's what polititians on both sides of the political spectrum do when it suits their political goals; in this case, gettin re-elected.   The good news, i think, is that this current bunch of would be totalitarians have made folks real interrested in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that were were either un-knowing, un-interested, or only "casually interested' about 6 or so years ago.  I think that is a good thing.  My advice to everybody is to read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights about once a month. You'll be amazed at the wisdom contained therein.

RE: Item 2.   I think the item 2 thing springs from item 1.  I dont think its willingness to "ignore" anything.  I think it's not thinking and being conditioned to believe that government should be involved in everything. There are lots of people in this country, Christians included, who fit this category.  Havin said that;   I dont think any Christian can be intellectually honest and not believe in individual liberty, and being scrupulously fair and even-handed.

I do believe that they (....Christians ....) are alarmed at what they see; and i think they should be.  There are those who are demanding that any references to "sin" and "perversion" be labled as hate speech by the gay jhadists.  I dont think that will happen because of the First Amendment thing; but there has been and wuz plenty of pushing on this very issue.  Look at the "hate crime" thing... I thought that by definition, all crime is "hate crime"... A criminal is willing to either kill, maim, or forcibly take what is not there's to take; whether it is life, sexual favor, or property by force.  That sounds pretty 'hateful" to me.

You and several other posters here hit the nail square on the head when you opined two things; the first.  Get the government out of the marriage business period... The second; stop the "winners and loosers" tax breaks for everybody, period....    Those two single things, alone, would straighten up a multitude of things in this country.

Havin said that, do i think it will happen... No, not a chance.

Here's hopin.

The Court didn't involve itself in the "Marriage discussion", they involved itself in hearing whether DOMA violated the Constitution and a person's Constitutional rights.

True, the government should never have involved itself in "marriage" at all but when the government pass laws that violates the Constitution why shouldn't the Supreme Court hear it?

And whether it's a single individual, or a minority group or 99% of the entire population; no court should decide on that basis whether to hear a case or not.

Youtube supports gays = U.S. Pest Control supports bugs.

Lets face it, it's a business.  They will support anything that will bring in additional hits. Youtube is global, so that means millions upon millions just gave them a thumbs up. Gay is the new black (as my wife says), it's almost trendy. If next week it becomes cool to marry your house plants, you better believe that other companies will come out "blossom" in support of it.

That being said, I understand if people want to stop using their service. I'll continue using it though, been on there for years without seeing anything gay. Well, cept Bear Force One

I bet if these guys were dressed in camo, wearing tacticool LBE, carrying AK's and AR;s and one of them had an RSB-80 instead of pink, purple and baby blue shirts they wouldnt even look ga........wait...naaaa.....nevermind
