Hey, I'm Sarah. I'm new here. I just haven't gotten around to introducing myself yet.

I've heard that Coal Creek in Knoxville has a lady's day on Tuesdays where you can use the range for free. Has anyone here gone to their range? Is this for real?

So frigging sweet!

Yes it is.

And men who come with ladies shoot for half price.

But if you want to leave them at home that's just fine too.

Hmm...free range time or loss of his manliness.

I guess it's cheaper to pay for range time than a Dolly Parton wig.

Oh well, I'm not that cheap.

Hi there Hustle! Welcome to the board!! :)

I've been to Coal Creek.....I haven't used their range but it looked nice. I'm lucky enough to be able to shoot here where I live, but that's pretty cool that they have a "ladies day" there! That would be a great place to set a date for a TGO East TN Ladies Shoot! :P

I took a friend there a couple of weeks ago to get her some range time before her carry class - we got there about 6:30 pm, there was a line - we left at 8:15 without ever having gotten to shoot. Other than that one instance, I've never had to wait to shoot.

Important note: paid members of the club get a "front of the line pass" and I think they can call ahead to reserve a spot in line. I don't want to discourage anyone - it's a great range. Just be aware that it seems to be more popular lately.:)

School is starting up for me, and I work nights too. I'm going to be really busy. :)

I work in Karns though, so it's just down the road. I think I can make this work.

Some of the guys from work go and shoot there. They've never complained about a line. We'll have to do it on a day when they're not doing their class I guess. It sounds like fun.

Welcome to the site, hustle...I actually took my carry class/range time there-it is a nice indoor range, but it is a bit far for me. Take advantage of the "free" range time there-not many places do that.

what day do men get to shoot free? is it really fair that women can shoot free but not men????

Men can shoot for half-price on Tuesday if they accompany a lady.

That's fair.

Another place ladies shoot free is at the Academy of Self Defense in Joelton, TN, on Fridays (I believe). Kind of far from Knoxville, but still....
