Remington eyeing Nashville

Recommended Posts

I know there has been a bunch of talk about manufacturers leaving certain states over the past several months, but this was the first post I remember seeing where Nashville has possibly made the short list. Would be nice to have a company local.

cool, id like to see em come here as well. The only thing that seems to last in NY is a steady circling stream of screaming turds that want to annoy everyone else.

Hopefully rem will out last Saturn and Dell.........

Hey, Barretts been in the Boro for some time now, gotta be doing something right!, :D

Remington in TN... that'd be pretty nice, I have to admit. Better than the blue land up north, anyway. And they'd possibly be another source of help should Tennessee ponder any pro-gun legislation... hopefully.

I'd love to see Remington come to the Nashville area, they just need to avoid the reach of Nashville's mayor. Lebanon would be a great location IMHO.

Good to hear this. Let NY suffer there decreasing tax base and stricter laws. That town would be devastated, according

to the article. That might change some politics up north.

They'll just raise taxes on the remaining companies, that'll fix all of their problems!

Maybe on top of that defunct Hemlock plant? There lots of industrial room in Clarksville. The industrial park has tons of space.

Lol. I suppose the industrial park would make the most sense, good point.

I'd like to see every manufacturing plant evenly remotely related to firearms or anything firearm related move out of any state that is anti gun.

We were having that conversation at work. It’s a crime to carry a gun in this state. If you were escaping a state that doesn’t recognize the 2nd amendment as a right, would you pay to move to another one? We really need to quit playing games with worthless gun legislation and become a Constitutional carry state.

Aren't their execs sitting in a cell right now? I thought they pleaded out with that convenience store, er, the ATF.

Also a company from Georgia bought the inventory and machinery and shipped it all to Atlanta. So there is nothing left of Saber

It's a company out of Scottsboro, Alabama that bought Sabre Defense. The building and everything is still there it just says Manroy USA now. According to the article they beat out Colt for Sabre's assets.
