Nother Newbe Question

Recommended Posts

Loading some 308 with accurate 2460. It calls for a magnum primer the question is , does it matter if it's large or small rifle? I have cci 450 small rifle magnum. I also am looking for some 00 buck for some reduced loads if someone could steer me right I would appreciate it.

Just a word of experience. Read several load manuals. Then read some more. Read, read, read. Then find someone who lives near you who is willing to tutor.

All .308 cases I have ever seen use large rifle primers. So that is what you need.

00 buck in a 30 cal rifle is a fun idea that I have always meant to try, but haven't yet. What powder are you going to use? I may give that a try myself sometime this week.

Good luck,

Will
