The good, the bad, and the ugly, wish we could see them all as good.

“You get paid, pay your bills, and there’s your money. It’s gone,” Carlo told KTVT-TV. “I said, ‘it was either feed my kids or get my registration done.”

The officer wrote a citation and handed it to Carlo, who couldn’t believe what he saw inside.

“Opened it up and there’s a $100 bill. I broke down in my car, what else could I do,” Carlo said.

It is good to read a positive story on LEOs.  Three are some officers who should have never been given a badge, and it is unfortunate that they tend to get the most publicity.  However, there are a lot of officers out there who have a strong sense of community, and really know what it means to protect and serve.

Why didn't he just let him go without a citation?

I would bet that it was probably a warning, and he wouldn't have been able to sneak in the C-note if he hadn't given it to him.
