Buyer Beware!

Ok, I owe an apology to Sidewinder. The reason I owe an apology to Sidewinder is because you know how I NEVER walk out of a store without inspecting a gun I am purchasing first? Well I would be remiss and a hypocrite if I didnt own up to the fact that I just did THE EXACT SAME THING AT THE EXACT SAME STORE.

Went the other night and bought a shotgun. Wife had some plans and I was already an hour late and figured whats an extra few minutes so stopped in at Academy. Wife is calling wanting to know I I am coming. I see the gun I wanted, picked it out, and they pulled one in a box off the shelf. The salesman opened the box to check the number, I did the paperwork fast, and told him to let me know when its ready (They will let you shop if you dont tell them), on top of that it was getting close to closing and there were other people waiting.

Paperwork, background check done, they call up the manager. He opens the box, wife calls again, checks the numbers and asks if I want to inspect the gun and was I aware of their policy that when I walk out its mine.Yes I am aware of the policy, dont have time to inspect the gun, Ill take it and if there is a problem Ill send it back to the manufacturer. Manager says OK, "Are you SURE you dont want to inspect it?. Nope, gotta go.

I still dont know if its in functioning condition because I havent got around to taking it out of the box. and I DONT EVEN KNOW whats supposed to be in the box because I havent checked the parts list.

"I dont often eat crow, but when I do, it tastes like sheet'

So again, my apologies to Sidewinder, It figures the first time I have to do it would be a couple of days after complaining someone else didnt do it because I ALWAYS DO IT. Must be that Karma thing.

Here is the gun by the way. I sold a gun to a member here and with the proceeds bought two. One for the BIL,who didnt want it, he is the one who wanted the Single Barrel so I am keeping that one, and one for my brother who has wanted one for a while. With the discounts and rebates I about broke even.

Notice how you see no fingerprints? Or the bag isnt opened, or you dont see the parts list? And its still in the box? Its because two days later and I STILL have not inspected it. (See above)

Apology accepted Tanker. Just hope all of the parts are there for your gun, and that it functions as expected. Good hunting with it.
