They were given the option. Remove government employees, Obama's staff, Congressmen, and Senators from receiving exemptions and subsidies from Obamacare. Reid kicked it back. The Republicans got scared. Their Constituents let them know. So Obamacare is good for all US Citizens unless your one of the Washington elite. Time now for the Republicans to act. If they blow this opportunity then I am not sure what to think. Golden opportunity right now.

Where is Cruz? He should be all over TV. Reid says the Republicans have lost their minds. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2

Saw Cruz on Fox a little. I think they're just busy on the House Floor trying to get a bill to Reid. I think they should just keep sending the same one back to him.

If I hear, "Obamacare is the Law of the Land..." just one more time!  So is immigration enforcement, the national budget, the Second Amendment, and the safeguard of taxpayers' money.  And by the way, just because Prez Zero "won the election," he still is only one-third of the republic--for which he doesn't stand.

If Republicans stick to their guns, there is a possibility that they end up reaping some positive benefits.  If they start wavering and going all milquetoast, then it will go very poorly for them.  Unfortunately, I believe it may be the latter, only because of the establishment-types who are going to suck up to the media and Democrats by throwing those Republicans with some backbone under the bus.

Sounds like a scene from Roadhouse. Maybe Dalton could come into Congress and do the my way or the highway speech.

Unfortunately, Boehner is the wimp, and it is only that the Tea Party pushed this. Not one single RINO wanted

to do this thing with Garbage care. Harry Reid, the socialist punk for Obama, should be run off by a crowd of

men and women with pitchforks. If Boehner capitulates any more, and he will, there will be nothing left to bargain

over.

If I was a congressman, I would be pushing Boehner to not negotiate even a postage stamp with Reid. Let that fool

make himself look like the weasel he is, and let the government stay down and out for a while. Those at the upper

echelons in the government may get paid, but they will all look like the fools they are. Sebelius is one who is the

posterchild of this administration. I hope she is making a million a year because she will need it when she has to

go back into obscurity after she runs Obamacare into the ground.

And all that good stuff happening at the EPA that is wrecking our energy system in this country should be getting

a bunch of PR when the media's lights get turned off. Whether or not the Republicans continue their argument,

this country is running on ethanol and Barbara Striesand wind energy, and that can't continue. Wait until the last

coal plant goes dark. Then you'll have your revolt. That is, if the all the destruction from Obamacare doesn't cause

one.

The only thing this shutdown should be showing people is, that the government is the problem, and the media is

running a close second.

Kills me how Reid can reject everything and yet blame the GOP for not compromising. I'd be fine if the House just tells Reid to "shove it" and went home for a month.

Exactly.

"Republicans just want 100 percent of what they want!"

Will you try to reach a compromise with them on any part of this matter?

"No, we absolutely will not compromise or negotiate anything".

Sadly, I doubt most people see these kinds of things.

Pretty close. Bar rescues idea is to find solutions to make the business work using knowledge to ID the problems, train the staff offer a nice product and make it self sustaining in the end with a profit .....one step up from common sense. We spent a boatload of money over the past 10 years. Most of it went overseas some into deep pockets here. Bottom line is Reid and a few others should consider going to a hospice or jiffy lube and letting more aggressive leaders in to make the govt work. This whole shutdown is really a waste of time
