Final tally looks like 166 lowers, 119 uppers and 66 BCGs.  121 total participants.

Sounds good. Guessing that isn't as good as expected but guessing also that with the uppers and BCGs added they are going to do alright. Wish I could have been able to afford an upper as well...Hey CMT if you wanna gimme a rain check I could hit you up after Christmas :D lol

But thanks for putting this together, without it I wouldn't have a forged to go in my collection as I usually go the cheapest route.

WE, on the other hand, got the best price on billet receivers we're ever gonna see. That's why I ordered my limit.

This is why I felt as if I should have ordered another pair, but I'm sitting on a whole buncha lowers already without prospects of building anything grand. Since a billet wouldn't work on my other AR builds I just couldn't find a reason why I would use it.

I'm covered up in AR's right now. So, I only ordered one set the first time. Then, I ordered the second set at the last minute. It really was a good deal, and billet receivers will work for the next two. I just need a bigger safe now :)

Well, this is gonna be my first build of a custom AR. I wanted it to have quality and not be a mass-produced Item. So it looks like i made a good choice. It may take me a longer time than I'm used to but i'm gonna do it right and not rush this build.

I have so many things going on right now, that I probably could have used the money somewhere else. But this was a chance of a lifetime. Got to chance on it when you're given it.

That doesn't look factory to me. It looks like someone did a bit of milling on that upper.

Just looks like one of those Grizzly side charging uppers.  Just uses a handle attached to the bolt instead of a charbing handle

Anyone who's planning a 300BLK and plans on shooting suppressed should be aware of some of the behaviors of side charging uppers.  Even on the 5.56 platform, it's not uncommon to get a face full of gas and associated soot when shooting suppressed.

Make sure you wear good eye protection.

Maybe look for a deal on some old silk scarves like the WWI pilots would wear to wipe the oil off their goggles...

There's gonna be 120 happy shooters out there soon. As soon as you guys get yours built please send me all your old, used, beat up parts so I can join the fun. I can't find a buyer for my kidney. :)

The very reason for a correct handed upper.

That is a neat-looking stock. Well, neat looking rifle overall, but the stock is interesting.

Will probably be forever before I get mine put together. Deciding what to do, first and only AR I'll probably build. Might consider making wood furniture. I don't need yards of rails and there is rail enough atop the CMT upper for an optic. A home-made stock shaped as above ought to be within my skill level.

One time shot beside a fella with a linear compensator, that was very quiet behind and to the side of the rifle. Probably put a linear compensator on it. Some linear compensators are fairly short, and some longer than usual. Probably silly to consider a below-16" barrel with pinned welded compensator, but otoh I've never had much desire to swap compensators on any other rifles (except maybe try a linear compensator on it), and if I did decide to change compensator on the TGO gun, could just get another barrel.

My 10.5 side charge doesn't dump much. I still have a charging handle in it though.
