K.S. “Bud” Adams, the second-generation oil magnate who brought professional football to Houston in 1960 and, three decades later, spirited it away to Tennessee, has died. He was 90.

The passing was first reported by Brent Zwerneman of Hearst News Services. A source said early indications are Adams’ death was of natural causes, but the source stressed the “early indications” aspect.

Perhaps the new owner, (son?), will run the team better?

I suspect a lot of people are looking at it this way too.  I know I am.  Bud was an icon in the industry but I think it's time the team had an oil-change at the executive level.

Well, R.I.P. Mr. Adams.  You bought the old Houston Oilers in 1959 and got the first couple of AFL championships.  But then there was that long dry spell through the '60s waiting for big Super win, pumping Obamanian sums of money into a team that was always the bridesmaid and never the bride.  I was with you during the "Luv Ya, Blue" seasons when it looked like Bum Phillips and Dan Pastorini were finally going to take the Oilers all the way to the altar.  Alas,  it was not to be.  And after that horrible NFL title loss to Buffalo in 1993, when the Bills overcame a 32-point deficit to win  41–38 in the biggest comeback in NFL history, I certainly couldn't blame you for looking to the green hills of Tennessee for some fan comfort.  The Oilers had broken my heart too many times for me to protest.   You had to change the name and the colors to finally get into that Bowl against the Rams.  But dang,  who was the idiot who made the field 100 yards long, when 99 should be good enough?  But thanks again for the ride, Bud....you'll always be a Titan in my book.

His son will take over but you pob wont notice a change right away. I wonder how Munchak feels knowing the guy who wanted him as the coach is no longer here?. I bet he shakes things up to try and have a 8-8 season. Munch wont be safe with a losing record and no Bud..

I'm a die hard Titans fan and I agree with this 100%. Maybe the next owner will wipe the "executive" slate clean (coaches and all) and start over! RIP Mr. Adams!
