You Will Buy A Beretta

Plan on havin' an Inox, CX4 Storm and a shotgun of theirs, eventually. I would really like to check out that compact, too. The only thing I don't like 'bout the 92/96s is that I have to change my grip a tad to hit the mag release and their grip is a little thick for me. I could swap it to the other side but that's somethin' I hafta think 'bout when usin' in a stressful situation. No biggy, though.

My "next beretta" one of these days would be a nickel finish .380 cheetah, kinda "just because" rather than any particular need. They shoot nice and look good. The dang things are rather expensive for some reason. More spensive than typical 9mm beretta pistols. And not often seen in local stores.

I have a neos and other than finding the ammo, it's pretty nice to shoot. I'd like to get a suppressor for it sometime. Anyone know if there's a place around here would do the threading?

How exactly does that work with a NEOS? Found some pix, but don't understand how the barrel gets exposed to do it -- seems it would take cutting down the attached rail, but here's one that seems rail is the same on both?

Just a longer barrel??

Not really familiar with the Neos, so this is only a guess.

First pic I've seen of one with the rail. I must say it improves the look of the pistol for me. I just might have to look more closely at one now.

OKAY....big time edit here.

Do all these have a railed top? As I said, really not familiar with them. After looking at a few pics, maybe it's the 2-tone version in the pic that makes it look better to me. I know after checking on them just now; I definitely like it more than the all black or blue.

My first handgun was a full size PX4, before someone stole it from my house. Loved it and miss it. I was already thinking about a new shotgun and if they are made in the TN factory that would just about seal it for me.

Yes, it's the only way they come. The rear end of the rail also functions as a top rail/guide for the slide too, so you couldn't do away with it entirely.

Thanks. I really didn't have a clue about the Neos, but all this has made me curious. I think I'll look at them anyway at least.

I understand that the top rail does have to be shortened. There's a company that's supposedly well known for doing it but when I contacted them, they said they don't do the neos (though they do have pictures on their website)

I think you can just make out that the rail has been shortened on that bottom one. There is a roll pin in the upper one not present in the one below.

Hipower, they are also available in 4 and 6 inch. I have a 6 because it is not intended as a carry piece.

Don't believe it has been shortened in this example unless it started out as 6 inch model or something, and remilled to hold the front sight again. (edit: no, looking at 6" model, that wouldn't have worked either, unless they took a rail from the 4" one).

And it's not a roll pin, but an Allen or Torx screw that holds the front sight, and it only has the hole on the right side. I have 4" and 5" models myself.  Look at yours.

Absolutely will buy a Beretta, but will wait until they say "TN" on the side, not "MD".  Whether I need one or not, will have one.

I already have several Berettas that say, "Made in Italy" & "Made in Accokeek, MD" on the slides. One that says "Made in TN" would be a nice addition to the collection.
