Anyone know what model this Surefire light is?

Recommended Posts

There is nothing other than Surefire and the serial number on the body so i'm curious if any of you flashlight gurus can tell by looking at it. It occurred to me that if it was military issue it might not have the normal markings but being a flashlight novice I have no idea.

Thanks for any info.

I have never owned a weapon light so let me ask a stupid question. Why does that light have a flip down lens cap on it?

Infra Red flood cap for a night vision system. It's not visible to the human eye but acts like a spot light for night vision. Contrary to the movies, night vision works off of ambient light and this is supplemental aid for said NV systems.
