  1. 1. What flavor do you prefer?

    • Mossberg (500/590/930/etc)
    • Remington (870/887/1100/1187/etc)
    • "Why don't we have both?" *mariachi music*

All it needed was a good recoil pad. That was mission accomplished. You may remember how Jack's wife took to that gun. She was actually knocking some clays out of the air, unlike you and me :).

I do indeed remember that. Man, I miss that gathering, was just thinking about it yesterday when was cleaning out the GMC pig wagon.

BTW, kinda looks like yours...

There's an old golfer's joke with that exact line, but it depends on telling it with a hoarse voice. :)

Yeah, mine is billed as the "Express Synthetic 7 shot" (6+1 actually). That yours too? Did it come from Remy with the Hogue furniture?

Remington's pic below, they changed the foregrip after I bought mine:

It came with the Remington furniture, and their patented crappy recoil pad. That gun is too light for a crappy pad. I think mine is the same model as yours, but came with a round, old style foregrip.

Yeah, if I shot mine much on regular basis, think I'd probably put a Decelerator or something on it.

I prefer Remingtons for all-around durability, but I got a lot of Mossbergs too, and Escorts, and H&R's, and SxS's, and.....aw hell, I got a few shotguns here ;)

Picked up another 870 because they are addicting. Remington 870 Tactical, 6+1, 18.5" barrel. It's actually marked "Remington 870 Tactical" on the receiver - never seen that before and had to have it.

I THINK I've decided to keep the express because I like the barrel/magazine configuration & compatibility and swapped out the stocks. I'm REALLY liking the magpul furniture. I haven't decided 100% yet. Any suggestions?

I'm a Magpul guy through and through. I've thought about picking up this set for my 590A1 but I haven't seen one configured that way to feel the weight.

I think you should get a Magpul stock and forend. I'll take the factory stock and forend off your hands. You know, to save you some storage space and all.
