The good old days were walking into Western Auto at 12 years old and buying two 50 round boxes of .22 (LR, long or shorts) for 50 cents. Funded with your cashed in soda bottles at 2 cents each!

Done just exactly that myself only it was usually Winchester .22 Auto for my 1903 .

We didn't have to go to Western Auto, our neighborhood grocery store sold them.

Well I guess after Christmas I'm gonna have to go shoot some 22lr's. I was in walmart the other day and they had a bulk box of Federals and I bought a box only to get home and realize I don't have room in any of my safes to put them. Needed a reason to go shoot anyway so got one now........
