My Poor Dog

Recommended Posts

Somehow my min pin got his left eye smacked hard by something. Personally I say he was attacked by a possum or raccoon when I let him out one evening (he got cut up pretty bad on his face one night shortly before this happened), but my wife seems to think my Doberman stepped on his face or something. Anyway, poor guy had to have his eye removed on Friday. He hadn't been able to see out of it for about a week prior, and it had become infected.

I need to get him a wicked eye patch.

Oh man that's too bad. I hope he recovers well and looks good in his new patch though, also glad it was not much more serious as an
infection that close to the brain is a scary thing.

I bet your right, if your dogs are anything like most I've know then your Doberman has likely stepped on his head numerous times with no issue. That looks like he was attacked.

Poor little guy. :(

So sorry to hear. The good news is dog's are able to adjust to challenges.

I have 4 of my own. 3 are rescues and 1 go as a pup. One of the rescues is blind in one eye, half deaf and he gets around fine.

Hopefully yours will too.

poor little guy. He will adapt well and still be loving.
I like the idea of an eye patch of an eye, but make it glow in the dark.

Poor fella. When I was a kid, we had a chihuahua and a mastiff. As they were playing around one day, one of the mastiff's nails pulled out the chihuahua's eye. The end result was the same as with your pooch. He adapted rather quickly.

  I just spit coffee all over my keyboard and computer.  I didn't put 2 and 2  together for a minute and then realized what I read.  A Chihuahua, one of the smallest dogs on earth playing with a Mastiff or (Small horse) largest dog on earth. It hit me all at once and this picture formed in my head and out came the coffee. I bet that was a lot of fun to watch...........
