New snubbie

Recommended Posts

A snub nose is on the "when I have more money to waste" list.  I figure it will be a nice way to round out the collection and very practical for carry if I ever decide to use it for that.  I always figured I would just pick one up at a pawn shop or off the trading post here, but that one is beautiful enough to make me consider one new out of the box.

" I'm not much of a revolver guy but I figured it'll be a good pocket gun for the summer. And hell, everybody needs a J frame."

Congats. I had to admit both those things myself, got me an LCR a few months ago.

I'm not a big fan of pocket carry, but when I need to - five sure rounds of 38spl is good, and the revolver shape is quite excellent for drawing from the pocket.

I've pocket carried the j frame all week. It's light enough that you just forget it's there. I looked at a bunch of different holsters but ended up getting a cheapo blackhawk pocket holster for it because it's barely big enough for the gun. No extra bulk at all. I've got a set of Altamont boot grips on the way and will probably try a  pocket holster from Mika just for the hell of it.
