Charter down Nationwide?

DNS Think of it like a phone book for computers. You type "Google.com" and your computer takes that "name" and looks it up on a DNS Server. Then your computer has an IP address which it can understand. Charter's DNS servers are down. You can use different ones though. A lot of people either use OpenDNS or Google's DNS. http://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/opendns-ip-addresses/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

but it has its roots with Carnivore.  A rose by another name still has Thorns.  Except those fancy genetic engineered roses that will be the death of us all.

Clearly it can't be his fault... He's busy golfing.

Yea and besides that he would have someone else do it so when it was discovered or leaked he could point his finger at someone else to blame. You have to remember, ""The Anointed One can do no Wrong"" It is either Bush's fault or a spy or a turn coat leaker but it is never his fault.................jmho

Friday they had a major routing change in the NC area. I had 5-6 locations drop off the map from our VPN. DNS etc was good to go but something crapped out. We had a work around but it was odd to say the least.

Already "updated" on Wiki, in the already pointed "criticism section"

"Charter Communications is known for its notorious connection stability issues. One of the latest example of which is its DNS server outage on August 23rd though August 24th of 2014. During which time, many customers also experienced busy signals when calling Charter's call center either to report the outage or to ascertain the expected return-to-service time. [62] Many customers have also been frustrated by Charter's unwillingness to communicate with them on social media, with the corporate communications twitter account opting instead to post about sponsored giveaways."
