Mother in Law may be getting a large amount of land "over 200 Acres" up there shortly "may be going to look at it this weekend"

I know they honor Tn. HCP , but how about other laws

any magazine regulations or any other regulations that would be good to know?

how about loaded firearms in vehicle etc.?

If everything works out this may wind up being a sort of vacation retreat for me and my wife to put a small cabin on etc.

and would like to jump in feet first with knowledge on the Gun laws

While I don't know the specifics of VA law, I used to work there and I seem to recall that it is a free state that recognizes TN "permits".

What I usually do in a foreign state is this:  Obey all traffic laws.  i.e. Don't speed, don't tailgate, use your turn signal.  Don't draw attention to yourself in other ways.

Waaay back when i was a bit more naive than I am now, I carried in the city of Chicago when I went to visit in-laws.  Kept a low profile and had no problems.

While I probably wouldn't do that again, I would have no consternation about carrying in Virginia.  But were I to travel there frequently, I would study up on their laws.
