The Ruger LCRx with 3-Inch Barrel

FortKnox

Recommended Posts

I'd sooner have an SP101 with a 3" BBL than the LCR because I view the LCR as being more of a light weight, always carried but infrequently shot pocket gun. The SP101 though is a belt gun you'll comfortably run lots of rounds through. So I guess I'm underwhelmed by the news announcement.

If it comes out in .357 with fixed sights it would be perfect. I'm really wanting one now, but I'll hold out and see if they accommodate my desires...

Sadly, you and I are thinking alike. And I feel sorry for you.

It really, really needs to be available now in 357 and 9.

A plastic .45 revolver would just explode.

Uh no. .45 is low pressure. It has the same muzzle energy as a 9mm but with lower pressure. You'd more likely get a problem from a 9mm.

Of choose that's all mute if you are being sarcastic, which you probably are. [emoji6]

3" revolvers are the cat's meow! But I would opt for a Smith like this one-

WOW! That is a nice one! It will have to go on my wish list though. Somewhere around the 351PD. lol

Don't tell me you don't have a running list of wants that get rated and revised constantly as well.

Since the LCR is marketed as a lightweight carry gun, don't the adjustable rear and high rise front sites potentially get in the way?

Are they subliminally marketing "this can be a range / target gun"?

Regarding a straight comparison, I have both a 2" and 3" SP and liked the 3" better, even before it went to Gemini Custom.
