It took a lot not to whip someone's ass today

I'm surprised you didn't set him straight like a Burger King manager :) , OMG the nerve of some people these days. I assume you had your magic bag with you , it's a dang good thing he didn't coz you into using it. Better heads prevail , just like yours did.

Good to walk the other way. I know words hurt and sometimes worse than cuts and bruises but Karma has it's way of paying back.

But i know how good it would have felt to put him in his place. Just know, you are the better man. Now if he was threatening you or you felt your life was in danger, then let the lead fly.

I'm not one to start a fight, people can call me names till they are blue in the face but Like JWC said, I see someone else being picked on, it's like a switch goes off in me. I can't stand people teasing others due to race, handicap, or religion or anything.

There has to be something wrong with that guy. Like TGO david said, Normal people don't act that way.

The guys either a monkey dick or senile, maybe both. Good on you for handling it the way you did G. Personally I doubt I would have been able to resist telling him I got 'crippled'
during a particularly rowdy bout of loving with his momma.

You handled it the right way man, and good on Oma Kraut too for the sage advise. I'm honesty a bit surprised the post didn't end with you having to bail her out of the big house for giving him a bit of a smack :D German women are scary, don't mess with them!

I'm laughing way to hard as I am reading this! Then I get to the part about German women. You stinker. We aren't scary! Just fiercely protective and strong. Ask Monkey, had that happened to him, I would have blown my top and cussed gramps up one side and down the other. Maybe even given a purple nurple or had an accidental slip and fall in front of him where I accidently got his ol nads. But you made me laugh, so no PN's for you sir!

Also reading my husband write the "call the law" made me forehead slap myself. Oy.

Honestly, despite what the thread title says, I would not stomp anyone over words unless those words are a threat. It just really pissed me off having someone acknowledge my disability in such a disgusting way.

It's obvious that dipstick ain't right otherwise he wouldn't have acted that way. I'm glad he didn't get physically threatening to you or we would have read in the Tennessean how this guy on crutches kicked so man's butt.

Some people need a good butt whoopin' though.....

You are a good (and the better) man.

It is possible the old guy had early dementia or always mentally challenged.

The security tape would have gone viral - the "cripple" beating the snot out of the guy with his crutch.

W/O a doubt you encountered an individual suffering from some form of mental illness which I believe you recognized as such even though the incident was emotionally disturbing. In the course of my LE career I encountered similarly affected individuals who directed rants and tirades towards other complainants or myself. Its a very sad thing to see and I found directing my temporary irritation into empathy for the family of the problem person in question to be all I needed to brush off the bad experience. Your a good man Dolo.

People seem to be getting worse. It's almost like a sense of entitlement that people think they can all say or do whatever they want and it doesn't matter anymore. That's not ok, especially when it's in a manner like what that man did. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Whatever his reasons, you deserve nothing but thanks and gratitude.

You know that the Tennessean's headline would read "Senior citizen attacked while grocery shopping."

This guy had to be senile.

I've used the word moron many times before, mostly out of anger against someone who was ignorant about something or other but I think the true definition of moron was that guy who obviously has a mental problem, walking away was the best thing to do but I can't say if I could have done that myself, at least without telling him what he could do with himself. This moron who was for what ever reason trying to provoke a total stranger needs to be watched and escorted by family members, someday he will say something like that to someone who wont walk away and really give him an ass wipping.

I agree with most of the other members. He had to be drunk or have some kind of mental problem. Normal people, especially older people, don't act like that.

On a side note: How did you like the bison? I'm not that big of a fan. If you want lean meat eat some good ol' whitetail.

Loved it. Unfortunately my wife has seen Bambi one too many times to let venison in the house.

Need to tell her bambi died of old age 100 years ago, this would be a very distant relation. :D

On the other situation, I'd have bopped him with my crutch.
