That's pretty cool! What are you using that water for?

It will be used to water my garden, wash the vehicles, etc...I plan on putting one of them high dollar ceramic filters inline when i can afford it lol :)

I just shut it off a few minutes ago, it took about an hour to pump 250 gallons up the hill into the tote..Good enough for me :D

After that 250 gallons, you left what......12 gallons in the creek. ;)

Have you thought about building a stand for the tote so you could gravity feed if necessary?

It will currently push water thru a hose from it's position on the ground..just not much pressure...Technically, i could just run a hose back down the hill toward the creek and get the same effect as raising it up on a platform..

you may get better flow from the tank to the small pump by replacing the short section of hose with pvc or something more rigid. The suction hose we use in the fire service is hard, it keeps the hose from collapsing in on itself. Nice setup though!

The small section of hose is from an old piece of hose i had laying around, it is hard as a rock lol, so no collapsing issue with it at all..But yeah agreed that a hard line is preferable over soft hose..:)

Finally got me a filter put on the creek water tote today :) Got it from lowes for about $60 including two 5 micron filters and assorted plumbing pieces to fit it all together..
