My dog rides the short bus

I have two monster 100 lb labs. (and because I am a nostalgic lead slinger they are named Wyatt and Doc). My alpha male patrols the yard like a 31E in an IR camp in Iraq (someone will get the reference). So I am not surprised when he starts an offensive measure against deer, turkey, pesky neighbor kids on their Polaris, snakes, and all other critters.

But at 0330 this morning when he loses his mind next to my window, it warrants household red alert. When I cleared enough to go outside and deal with him, he was barking at THE GROUND. Not a hole in the ground where something scampered in....Just the ground. I can't figure out if I should call an exorcist or the Ghostbusters.

Or there is a serious Tremor threat to the greater Middle TN area.

Tremors are actually pretty common in Tennessee, mostly in the eastern or western parts though. We feel them a couple of times a year but there are a lot more that we never feel.

For anyone else living in east Tennessee this should scare the bejesus out of you.

I don't think the "Tremor" that the OP was talking about was an earthquake:)

Please, for either $6.96 for DVD or $19.65 for Blu-Ray for ALL FOUR MOVIES, everyone buy those if you haven't already seen them. They are hilariously corny, but genuinely good movies. Plus they have one of the greatest characters of all time, Burt Gummer.

Reelfoot Lake in West Tennessee was formed by an earthquake many years ago and yes there is a Fault line called Sand Madrid and it has been showing small signs of becoming more active in last 10 years or so. The Mississippi is a major part of the line and Memphis lays almost on top of it............. :2cents:

Some of the dumbest dogs I've had were lab/lab mix. I love them for their sweet and funny demeanor, but they just aren't too bright. Neither are Rat Terriers of which I now have one, (along with my Rotty). She barks at the ground trying to intimidate bugs. Perhaps he was barking at a bug or something of that nature to entertain himself?

And don't forget the really bad Tremors: The Series as well.

And I love them all! The scenes with Reba are wonderful!

I have a ton of 31E's that need to be on the short bus. LOL. fond memories of being a CSM of a MP Bde with five IR battalions.

That sounds brutal. I got lucky as a CO because my MTOE was allocated 1 Echo and I got a solid SSG...but we dealt with some downrange that were, well, just special.

I got the warpig thing from my CSM downrange. He was Cav and hated MPs and always use to ask me, "what do the BC's little war piggies have going on tomorrow?" You don't shake that nickname easy so we just embraced it.

I just thought I would update this thread with good news:

Tremors 5 is going to be released on DVD/Blu-Ray on 10/6/2015!

OMG!!!! I must have that!

If only to tick off my wife! She hates those movies so bad! Won't even sit in the same room if I watch any of them.

If one is listed in any search, she will just roll her eyes and mutter something about stupid movies.

Going to order it now.

Wife wanted to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron. Maybe tomorrow.

Good?

Worth watching. Under "gunned" but the cinematography was raw and better than the rest.
