Advanced Armament Repair??

Recommended Posts

I will pop a pic up later but long story short, someone touched a paper/plastic mixed target with my extremely hot Advanced Armament SR7 barrel and the target melted to the dang thing.

After it cooled I gently poked at it with NO TOOLS and the finish (along with the paper/plastic mix) popped right off. AAC told me they would ship it back free of charge and take a look/fix it, but I have been hearing horror stories with them recently due to the change in facility and all that. (like guys saying it takes them 9-10 months to fix their suppressors and stuff)

Anyone dealt with their repair department recently? I'm kind of wondering if it's worth just saying screw it and leave it as is just to avoid having it gone that long. But if it keeps running it could make it where the SN may not be readable and that would be bad news all around.

So just the finished is messed up?  Not worth sending it in.....

Just use some BBQ spray paint and call it a day.  If you run a suppressor very hard at all, the finish will wear.  Never dealt with their repair dept, but I'm sure it wouldn't take that long.

Hell, most of mine look worse than that. Up to you, but I'd just throw some spray paint on it.

I know. I have a few that look terrible. But it is brand new and i didnt do it so it peeved me a little.

Understandable.  I'd just call em up and try to get an estimated turnaround.

Or you could just dump about 5 mags and burn some more of the finish off
