This topic was brought up on the Megan Kelly files on Fox last evening. It was discussed by about 3 + Megan one being from the Down Under Country. I had to laugh when he said that the people in the country have recovered back and now own about the same amount of guns they did back during confiscation but this time there are not quite as many shotguns and more Hi powered Rifles. Sounds like they may have a couple of those markets like Ted mentioned down there huh???

All that money the government spent back then buying old shot guns didn't do anything but give everyone money towards new and better weapons. Kind of Ironic huh??? More power to the people down under is all I can say............. That should be proof enough that if people want to own guns they will own them one way or another. Also now the Australian government has no clue who all has them now because no one registered them like they did the first time. So now they can't come and take them like they could the first time.............

You have to be glad we have a constitutional republic with three branches of government.  It is not perfect but helps keep things in balance.

A president can desire a law but if he can't get Congress to pass it, then nothing happens.  Even if Congress passes a bill, and the president signs it into law, it still needs to be constitutional and can be heard by the supreme court.

Not saying our system is bad, either. Agree its not perfect...

Activist SCOTUS are a real problem now. Not interpreting the Constitution as originally intended is dangerous.

The system didn't work with the Affordable Care Act... Argued as a tax, but is a fine, etc.

Then, 2A.... Shall not be infrined, but law abiding folks had post 1986 MG's banned and the NFA taxes our right to some 2A items.

Can we get a free speech registry for offensive words and a $200 tax on offensive language please? smh Edited by JohnC

Justice Roberts, fine Constitution scholar that he is, missed the obvious point that if the ACA penalty is a tax, it's a direct tax since it's levied directly by the federal government onto individual citizens. The Constitution says that direct taxes must be apportioned - every citizen must pay the same amount. Since the ACA "tax" falls only on some citizens, it's obviously unconstitutional.

But, "At this point in time, what does it matter?"

It's all big talk from her to a specific crowd of naive sheeple who actually believe she can do that and be successful. Wonder what the latest update on the New York Safe Act (90+% Non-Compliance) story is? You wont hear anything in the media because they are afraid to report the truth about it. On the other hand if it was slightly successful you would hear about it quite often, hyping it up to be very successful. If they can't pass a registration law in New York that works, they are truly idiots to think they can get a federal buy back to work. She wont propose that on a national forum without getting laughed at, she's playing to her base of liberal dolts.

Yep, she'll say one thing to her base during the primary and say something completly different if she is still campaigning during the general.

The "Govt" can't "Buyback" what it never owned in the first place. Tyrant Bitch.

On top of that they will issue you $50 for your Wilson Combat 1911, mandatory. That would be theft, there's no other word for it. Not only theft of your property but theft of your Constitutional rights and whoever gives in, theft of their principals and dignity. They would be low life thieves, no different than the meth head who breaks into your home and steals your property. Actually they are lower IMO, at least the low life meth head is taking a risk and actually laboring to steal your property, they will just have their peon peasants do the dirty work for them. No offense on the peon peasant comment but that's how THEY view all of us. A mandatory federal gun buy back program is government theft. If you think it's impossible to "HATE" Hillary anymore than you did, she says treasonous Un-American crap like that. I WILL NOT COMPLY WITH A GUN BUY BACK LAW.

This is the outcome if it ever come to pass; I actually see pockets of armed resistance being the only way to stop these Demos from having there way..

If something like that was actually proposed in Congress I really believe that would be the trigger but I also believe there may be a few, even on the democrat side that would realize that would be throwing the sh!t at the fan and I don't believe most want that. I'm still mad as hell even from the actual mention of it, I am mad just as much when I see some socialist college students burning the Stars And Stripes in protest. To me talk of disrespecting and violating the Constitution is just as Un-American as burning the flag. Hillary Clinton is an Un-American POS.
