alternative to cold steel ak-47?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've had a cold steel ak-47 (full size, not mini) for 5 years and it's held up really well. Still going strong.

However, i'm looking for a new knife.

I like the easy-open (tang catches on pants pocket), like the pomel, and like how durable the blade and triad lock have been.

I'm going to be doing some more research but curious if you knife officionados have any Robust and US made folders in the 3.5" or so range that you'd recommend. Looking for something tough that can baton kindling, etc.

Thank you!

I'm looking at a Buck 722 for deer hunting and field dressing. Probably not the world's toughest for $30 buy made in USA and seems to have good reviews. Any obvious reasons thus knife would be a bad choice for hunting and field dressing?

Thanks!
