A buddy of mine over at ar15.com took the pic.

Last week in Smyrna i saw quite a few lowers... just no uppers.

BTW, that FAL receiver on the top was 500.

Is it just me or does those Lowers look huge?

I'm comparing them to the barrel to the left. That and the FAL

receiver at the top. It just seems like they are really big.

Bigger than a .308 receiver. Could they be a weird .50 cal receiver?

(That might explain the price maybe.)

Nope. they are standard DPMS and Stag Arms lowers.

That dealer is trying break it off in someone, BAD!

You should post who that is. They need to be on the "pay no mind" list

Thanks Joe... guess I was struggling to give the dealer the benefit of the doubt.

Normally I agree, but this is an obvious case of dirty no good price gouging.

Again; dealers that wish to conduct themselves in this manner should be named for all to see.

Greed's a bitch...isnt it?

One of my priorities come Janurary is a good semi-automatic rifle... but I won't be paying 300% markup on it, that's for sure. If I can't find a deal, I'll be going with a nice shotgun and plenty of ammo.

The greedy son of a bitch is a private seller that was at a show up in Utah.

Guy buys a bunch of them before the election and then sells em off.

Speculative economics.

You can't have capitalism when the market is good

And socialism when the market is bad

In other words - when the pickings are easy and prices are low, it's easy to be a capitalist and crow about our wonderful free market economy. When something happens and prices skyrocket, you can't then start complaining about the prices that have gone through the roof according to the same rules that kept them low.

Ok, that is price-gouging.

However, capitalism being what it is, either he will drop his prices when everyone else keeps shopping somewhere else, or he will keep them where they are if some poor schmuck takes him up on the offer.

Economic Darwinism is the worst possible economic structure in the world... except all those others.

Sure you can; and those doing it need to be outed in public.

It is my understanding that the gun manufacturers have not raised their prices, and the dealers say that they are only raising their prices to cover what the distributors raised theirs. So unless that is incorrect some dirt bag distributors (that we really don’t need in the system anyway) are making a killing.

CTD rolled the dice. Let’s see how it works out for them. :)
