MCTS IDPA (morning), Rifle (afternoon) and Steel Challenge 01/02/16

Recommended Posts

Music City Tactical Shooters will be hosting our monthly IDPA match this weekend on Saturday 01/02/2016 at our outdoor facilities in Dickson (across the road from 990 Coon Creek Road, Dickson, TN).

Setup begins at 7am, shooters meeting at 8:45, rounds downrange at 9:00am. We will have 5-6 challenging stages.

We offer a safe and fun atmosphere and welcome new shooters. Come out and bring your friends. Our monthly steel matches are a great opportunity to hone your skills and improve your shooting accuracy.
Pistol, pistol caliber carbine and shotgun divisions to choose from.

See you there! This will be #1 match in the CDP challenge.

If there is enough interest, we will also have a rifle only immediately after the IDPA match along with Steel Challenge on the old side. Edited by HOGNUT

What is this CDP challenge you speak of?

Just like the CCP IWB challenge we just finished up with early December. We will be doing SSP and ESP at some point next year. It is not a specialty match. All divisions are recognized. It is a point series for people wanting to participate in a head to head challenge. $5.00 buy in each match participating in. Money is divided by placement. King and I are working on the final rule configurations. It will be done for indoor and outdoor events.

We are also doing it for USPSA events in 2016.

There will be 6 stages, 18 rounds per stage so a total of 108 rounds minimum.  There are 3 pieces of steal and 1 drop turner. Be ready for some Strong Hand Only and Weak Hand Only shooting while moving. It will be fun and challenging. Already heard complaints from the CCP and CDP shooters about having to do 2 reloads in each stage.

More reloads greater a chance to mess one up. I like it. What I seen as the stages you sent, way too much of an influence on your stage designs. Let me see how many black pasters are downstairs........seriously great stages.
