When we were kids we built Estes model rockets. We used those rockets to send everything possible as high as we could go. Many frogs and bugs piloted those ships in the name of neighborhood science. We didn't need no steenkin drone cause they were t around yet lol Edited by Dustbuster

I was thinking of all of the control line models I used to fly and watching R/C models being built and flown. Some of those were impressive, even so helicopter models. Then all these quad rotor drones came out and instead of building a kit people were buying a finished product. I never saw any critters or bugs being flown but I sure burned a bunch of fuel. I can still hear those R/C engines howling.

i spent many hours and dollars building and flying rc helis before the electric craze and drones came in, i enjoyed the craftsman ship and pride aspect of flying my own machines. knowing more today about fixed wing and drones i can see a pass drone on the horizon. it will take a while. for all the work that has to be done on a small plane to keep it safe, i can only imagine it would take forever to build a safe pass drone.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, its either this or smoke signals!

I launched my sisters hamster...Parachuted back safely! Mom, dad, and sister were not amused.

I will never forget that day. I learned 2 lessons.

1. More fuel needed to achieve orbit.
2. Dad was quick with a switch

Now these days a drone makes it easy and they can even live stream the video.
