A recent poll taken by my kids would seem to indicate that al least for today, the best pizza in Nashville comes from the Big Green Egg out back.

Five pizzas all just the way everyone likes them.

And, praise the Lord, I can have more stuff on my pizza than just pepperoni and cheese.

I normally leave work at 11 and get there at 11:15. Yes, there's a line, but I'm more concerned with getting a seat which is no problem at 11:15.

Yup. I started parking at the empty warehouse across the street, could never get a spot in front of the actual restaurant.

Joey's has some really good food, worth the wait and dodging traffic on Elm Hill.

It's no longer an empty warehouse. IIRC, it is now a contractor's supply company.

I stopped at Pizza Perfect in Bellevue.

To my shame, I have never eat there.
It's damn good.

I got the Sicilian thick crust. I'll tell you what I thought at my first bite.....Pizza Hut when I was 10 years old. Before anyone flames me for that, the Pizza Hut pan pizza that was made 30 years ago has NOTHING in common with ANYTHING they make today. Nothing.
Add to that, memories during childhood are often better than the real thing.

The Pizza Perfect thick crust was soft in the middle but not undercooked and gooey. The bottom was seared and crisp and just greasy enough to be good but not so much to be nasty. Cheese stretched out for a good foot to 14 inches. Outter edges of the pepperoni were charred while the center was nice and soft.

First time experience...they live up to their name. Edited by Caster

If you like super thin crust (like I do), Nashville Pizza Co in the Watson Glenn shopping center in Franklin is good.

This place is my favorite. Their regulate pizzas are good, but their specialty pizzas are the best. Artichoke with bacon and mushroom; bbq chicken with bacon and and japs; the Mexican Pizza and the Vandy. You cannot go wrong. Their happy hr is great at well. I believe that it $2 Shinner on tap. I go to the one off Hillsboro.

I like pizza perfect, but I am not a Nick's fan.

Yesterday at work we had a discussion about pizza and I brought up this thread to get a list of the best places around (work off of West End). Today me and several coworkers went to Pizza Perfect and it was amazing. I don't usually care for thin crust but we all just got the lunch special (2 slices of pepperoni for me) and will gladly eat it again.

Yeah it's hard to beat. Try Two Boots pizza and see how you think it compares.

If you work in the area, try out SATCO as well, it's right down the street.  Best tacos around.
