Any public land somewhat near Memphis to plinkity plink some?

Recommended Posts

I was just curious to see if anyone knew of an area that would allow us to go out and do some target(safe) practice? I'm guessing if there is, it's probably an hours drive anyway but thought I'd take a shot in the dark per say.

I know they're more lenient in some counties/states than others. like in parts of Florida, you can just jump in a swamp area and no one would ever know and it's legal ofc...

I will raise you 2 nopes-I have lived in the area for the better part of 20 years and have found no-where free to shoot-zip-zero-nadda-nill.I originally came from an area where there were many places to shoot for free.

This is one of the things I am really looking forward to with my move out to Alamo in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna be able to shoot on my own property. :D

I am now the color green-my Dad has 210 acres so shooting at his place is a all the time event-only problem with that is its over 1000 miles away-not exactly a day range trip

I'm a member of MSSA if you'd ever like to be my guest.

I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions for me about MSSA?

When I'm ready to join, what is the best way of going about it? Should I call and set an appointment or do I go in and they'll have all the necessary paperwork and such ready to go during normal hours?

Other question;  is there a limit on how many times you can bring a guest or one specific guest only so many times? I have one friend I usually shoot with and would like to bring him along on occasion.

   Thank you

You can just walk in during normal business hours. They'll get you all setup and schedule your safety class. The class consists of a meeting with an employee who will go over a PowerPoint presentation with you.

You can bring specific guests 3 times. After that they just join or discontinue coming with you.
