Ruger Reloading Question

Recommended Posts

I have a set of old style/ big frame Ruger Vaqueros in 45 LC.  The way I understand it is that these are made on the blackhawk frames. If this is true can you use the ruger only (hotter loads) data in the reloading books?

That's what I understood too so I just wanted to make sure before I got too far along into this.  I have a Winchester 92 or 94 can't remember right now off hand and I wanted to fix me some good loads I could use in all 3 guns. All I got right now is a couple boxes of Cowboy Action loads.

The original Vaquero is good to go with Ruger only loads. The New Vaquero (thats the actual model name) has the smaller frame and is not suited for the stiff loads it was made to appease the CAS shooters who wanted a grip that felt like a Colt.Irregardless of the fact that there are a number of Colt copies on the market.
