Alright--who was it (Open Carry spotted)

Recommended Posts

This was a first for me. I've seen people open carry in the past and not given it much thought. It's not my thing but to each his own. Tonight, i was at a local grocery store and noticed someone carrying what appeared to be a Bond Arms pistol in the 4:00-5:00 position. Ok--no big deal. Then i noticed something around 3:00. Out of curiously, I had to do a walk by only to find the guy had TWO identical pistols on the same side.

I don't guess i have a problem with it but i'm not sure what kind of "tactical" advantage this set up gave the carrier. For the 40oz weight of two 3" bonds arms derringers (assumed), he could have easily carried a G19 fully loaded and a spare mag. For an extra 5oz's he could have gone with a G19 and a Smith 642.

Again, not infringing on his right to carry what he wants. I think Bond Arms makes some bad ass guns. But for open carry? If i'm going to draw extra attention to myself and potentially be a target, i'd pick something bigger than a nice derringer..........

You caught me. I was carrying two, because my usual rig was a bit much for the summer heat. This is Vera. She's my most favorite gun.

Great rig... There's even room for a suppressor!
