Silencerco Saker 7.62 or Hybrid?

Recommended Posts

I would and did go Omega 30.  Quieter and smaller.  I also have a Specwar 762 that I really like as it is the quietest, but Also the largest.  The Specwar and Omega also use the same quick connect.

The idea of the hybrid is kind of neat, but after buying each module, j am not sure I would want to mess with it.

I've looked at the Specwar as well and was intrigued. Who am I kidding? I never realized that there were so many options. I'm having a difficult time trying to decide on just one....for now. That Omega looks like it be a nice set up.

Specwar is great but technology has advanced.

Hyrbid is cool but friggin huge. Usually one thing that does everything doesn't really do anything that well. I'm sure it's a great can for what it is. I like the concept.

Saker is is over engineered in a good way. But it's loud.

Omega takes the best of all the cans and sums it up into one. :-)

I have a Specwar and Hybrid. The Hybrid has a great tone and sounds much better than my Specwar.

Of the two you listed, I'd probably go with the Hybrid. They're similar in size but the Saker weighs about 7 ounces more. My Hybrid is set up with the ASR module and all my rifles have ASR brakes/flash hiders. I'm running the 9mm end cap on it so I can swap it between my 9mm, 556, and 762 rifles without having to change any other pieces out.

Go ahead and start planning your second can purchase too... you cannot own just one :D
I'd recommend something rimfire, like the Spectre II, Sparrow, or even a Dead Air Mask.

I definitely plan on owning several cans. I'm just having trouble deciding on my first. Upon further research, I'm really starting to lean towards the Omega. I'm looking at starting the ordering/buying process within the next 24 hours.

Thank you all for your recommendations. After I was able to  handle the Omega and the Hybrid today, I chose to go with the Omega. You all were right about the size and weight. It seemed to balance quite well on the rifle. I went ahead and set up a trust today and paid for the Omega.  Now, the wait begins....

Best thing to help the time pass is to forget you ever ordered it. With 41f going through I bet wait times will be astronomical. I submitted 3 cans just over a month ago and I have 2 cans that are pending form 3 approval still. I won't see the last two till next year I bet.

I have two others in jail right now as well.  Form 4's were sent in about a month ago as well.  I am expecting 8-10 months with everyone trying to rush to get in before the deadline.  I hope I was just early enough to be close to that 8 month timeframe.
